“Melodic when necessary, and piercingly guitared at other times. A strong debut from this new cast of old hands."” - Matthew Thompson
Some people have love, some people have god, some people have money — Sean Power & The Main Street Band have music.
About us
Formed in Brisbane in 2023, Sean Power & The Main Street Band have carved out a reputation for delivering raw, honest performances that blend classic rock, country, and blues. Their Cowboy Grunge sound echoes the likes of Neil Young, The Stones and Tom Petty with shades of The Black Keys & Jack White. It is a blend of haunting melodies and harmonies with gritty driving guitars.
The band’s ethos is simple: “three chords and the truth” — songs that explore love, loss and the fragility of life with authenticity and immediacy.
